Brian Ferry’s newest endeavor is a limited-edition collaboration with the masterful watchmakers at H. Moser.
Based on a historical pocket watch from the brand’s archives, the 38.8mm, 18 karat rose gold watch features a matte white lacquered dial with crisp black-and-red details, contrasting blue hands, and a small seconds indicator located at six o’clock. The mechanical, hand-wound, in-house movement features a three-day power reserve with the indicator discretely hidden, visible only through the sapphire crystal exhibition case-back.
The most important detail on the watch is perhaps its most clever and understated. Perfectly illustrating the subtlety of Bryan Ferry’s enduring style, the dial stamp “Swiss Made”— located at the bottom edge of the watch dial, practically hidden from view—has been quietly replaced with the name “Bryan Ferry.” It’s the only visual indication that the stylish limited edition was designed under his legendarily tasteful eye.
